Better get loads of popcorn! It’s a lousy location backing to Rancho Santa Fe road and will probably languish on the market as no one will want it.
BTw, Avenida Obertura closed today. I said it would close for at least $925,000. It closed for $960,000. There are two very different markets out there along the coast. Mediocre homes sit on the shelf regardless of price while truly prime properties are still selling at or near peak prices. As further evidence, a 1 story Davidson home at the end of Sitio Abeto in LCV went into escrow very quickly with an asking price above $1.1M while the same floorplan around the corner on Camino Serbal is sitting at $870,000.

I get that I wouldn’t want to have my backyard along RSF Road but would I pay $230000 more for a better lot? Is your quality of life or enjoyability of the house that much less? Maybe it is…what is your take?

June 18, 2008 at 5:25 PM #225008sdrealtorParticipantYou’ve got that backwards. The question is not whether you would pay more for a better lot but rather would you put up with RSF as your backyard for 200K less. The answer for me is NO I would not put up with that at any price for a primary residence. As an investment, its a different question.
