I and everyone I talk to have noticed a fairly drastic decrease in commute/rush-hour traffic around town.
One coworker I talked to says it is because school is out for the summer (community colleges and universities) and so those students are not on the road in the early hours trying to get parking spaces. He estimates there are about 120,000 such students in the county.
Another Pigg here on the blog thought that people are consolidating their trips and going on the road less because of the cost of gas.
I am wondering if this is the first sign of people just getting fed up with the county and moving out.
