My mom moved here and was renting an townhome, unfortunately I didn’t do my homework and there was a Notice of Default on the unit which I found out about after the lease was signed. Today we find a NOT on the door with the auction date set for 6/19/08.
Considering we were expecting and planning for this, it didn’t come as a surprise. However, we’d like to recoup some money for the annoyance this has caused and to help pay for the moves.
Anybody know how to go about asking the bank for some incentive to move out after the NOT? Right now the NOT only has an LLC listed as a “duly appointed trustee”. Once I find out which bank owns the loan, I assume I can call them and let them know there’s a renter living in their foreclosed property?

She has very little actually, most of her stuff was put in storage after we found out that there was a NOD on the place. Is there any way to find out which bank owns the mortgage before the auction date?
