Hopefully this is a quick question. The wife and I are looking at coming back to San Diego about a year or so from now. We lived in San Diego(Coronado) for a short stint from August 2005 to October 2006. Since there was no way we could afford to buy there and I knew we were going to be there about a year max, we decided to rent.(It was close to work) In short we really liked Coronado and now it looks like we might be headed back there about a year from now.

I have been following Mssr. Piggingtons site since before we first moved to CA and I do have an undergrad background in ECON but I have not seen a lot in the way of the market in Coronado. Any help is appreciated and welcome.

I expect that since the properties are rather high-end that there will not be so much of a devaluation as in other lower priced and more remote areas. Although it would still be about 12 months until we headed back that direction I am not confident that we will have reached a good approximation of the low end of the market. We do own a house in VA that we may or may not sell. Either way, we can still manage a decent down payment.
