Can someone share what the sales trends have been for La Costa from how much the homes increased in value during the boom, to where they are now? Particularly, can someone also comment on how the new home developments are faring? I’m interested in homes 2000-3000 sq ft.
What are the opinions of La Costa vs Carmel Valley in terms of value and lifestyle benefits?(neighborhood, schools, etc)
I recently viewed some of the John Laing homes and there were some decent floorplans, but the lot sizes were very small – although a bit larger than some of the new developments in Carmel Valley. Not having viewed a vast number of homes in either neighborhood, I found in general that you could get more in La Costa for the same price.
I’m not looking necessarily to buy this year – we already own a home, although I’m looking at moving into perhaps 1 of those neighborhoods when the numbers make sense and I’m interested in evaluating the trends in La Costa.
