The weather reports I have been getting form Yahoo(weather channel) have been very wrong for about two weeks. If it really mattered though I would call 858-675-8706. That is National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration,NOAA. since they administer the oceans and atmosphere they always get it right;).
I am east of east at about 2200 ft elevation at the bottom of some real steep, rain squeezing mountains. I am also resting comfortably about 400 feet from my well. Rain is always welcome in Socal but after having a groundwater system I am even more appreciative of it. Things get nice and green up here in a good rainfall year and my fruit trees don’t need watering for months so that is good too.

Arghhh! I replied and deleted accidentally out of my own stupidity. If this shows up twice, my apologies. After my first post, I had to go to Vons for prescriptions and milk. I complained a couple of times to clerks who asked “How are you?” And I said, “I am freezing and wet.” One of them just rolled her eyes kind of subtly. Must be a transplant. My dad (ancient–but still lucid) laughs his ass off when I complain. He and my mom grew up in Chicago and when he proposed, she said, “I’ll marry you if you move to San Diego.” That’s where she was stationed as a WAVE. He gave in rather easily, although he had to take a 1/2 pay cut. It always amazes me that the median here until the 1970s was lower than the national median.
