I learned Spanish as a second language. Sometimes I find myself spelling words according to the rules for Spanish that are not even Spanish & Inglish cognates or are cognates but end up with a hybrid spelling and, therefore are incorrect in two languages. Inglish sounds just like English if you know how to pronounce the letter i in Spanish.Ingles, amazingly enough , starts with the same letter. I also just goof up a lot of words. Today on the Abott link I spelled article, “artical”, That is not a typo, that is the brain typing a sound using an arrangement of letters that is legit for the same sound in other words. Perhaps it is early onset of something?
to-too, to easy too mess up.
Forget punctuation. That’s not fair. I am already an overachiever for a realtor, that is, since I came to Piggington’s and learned about the spell check icon.
