ParticipantThis topic is HUGE on the appraiser internet boards this morning. A lot of fee appraisers have been complaining about these problems for a while and are now quite happy to see this turn of events. It isn’t just the one lender nor is it just the one appraisal management company, either.

ParticipantWhat’s up, Doc??
two-cents:
While getting a wisdom tooth yanked yesterday afternoon, wise-cracking along the way, the peridontist, who’d spent 6 yrs in Albany, mentioned he missed the “directness” of East Coasters.
Seems East Coast folks are more likely to call BS BS when they see it… are willing to act on it, argue, fight.

ParticipantSpeaking as (if) an attorney in SEC defense, I find it reprehensible that anyone could impugn the high-minded ideals and saintly ethics of the esteemed mortgage industry. Personally, I find it particularly distasteful to even suggest that leaders in this field could be civilly or criminally liable for their acts of selfless devotion to their industry and their stockholders.
Thankfully, the SEC agrees with me as they apparently find nothing wrong with Mr. Angelo Mozilo’s actions which have been nothing but transparent throughout this trying ordeal of the past few months. I believe Mr. Mozilo’s humanity is clearly exposed in the following link:

[Find “Ownership” on the left and click on “Insider transactions”]
PS I need work since Ken died.
