Submitted by svelte on November 30, 2007 – 1:50pm: Oh, it isn’t just consumers. It appears to me they’ve learned it from the executive and legislative branches of their government- look at how the federal debt took off around 1980 and has barely looked back.

Hmmm, something must have happened in 1980… trying to remember… all I can remember is tax cuts… those were nice!
