eccen in esc
I live in Escondido. It has pros and cons like everywhere. It can be really hot here in summer. SW Esc is nicer. Escondido has 3 lakes and 3 great parks. Kit Carson, Felicita, Dixon Lake. There is a lot of hiking here and it has all the shopping you would ever need – a complete city. Not much traffic in town and a couple of good restaurants. Good for kids if you are in the right area, SW. House prices are lower here also. Trader Joe’s, Jimbos and a great big mall. I like living here better than the coast because of the traffic. And it is central.
Also has a rural feel and you can get a half acre for under 500K. No private schools here tho, except religious. Also, there is a large ethnic population, though segregated for the most part.
