I am not sure that excerpt from the CDC study is correct. Connecticut has about a edentulism 12% rate in current statistics, with about 20 below 20%. Obesity has a similar distribution from Kaiser. California has similar statistics to the Northeast/Mid Atlantic.

xironmanParticipantStay away from Mexico, for the next few years as far as investment goes.
A. Mexico’s social programs that keep the society together are completely dependent on it’s oil monopoly Pemex http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pemex.
B. Pemex soon will face a revenue crisis as Cantarell continues to crash http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2006/11/22/business/LA_FIN_Mexico_Oil.php
C. Defending ones vacation home against an angry, hungry and rioting populace is not a good time.
A great place for a vacation though.
xironmanParticipantIf you end up in Virginia and like the beach, go to the Outer Banks for a vacation, you won’t regret it. As long as you are close enough to drive there for a beach fix, you won’t miss the San Diego beaches much at all.
xironmanParticipantYeah,
A telecommuter with the ability to live anywhere is going to choose San Diego, because he can’t get enough of traffic and insane housing prices. No way you would consider any other place where you can live like a king for what it costs you in SD. Most of the telecommuter are leftovers from operations that used to be there and have moved somewhere else cheaper. Hence had preexisting living conditions, not transplants with new money.
Former San Diego Resident, that moniker was taken.
