ParticipantA lot of people feel like they are as successful as the things they can get.. for some a $715k house, if they can get it means they are or will be successful.. they think backwards, just like they think if they have kids, then they will be responsible even though they couldn’t behave the earlier part of their life.. if they can get a $715k house, then it must be right, after all banks don’t lose money right – so the bank is offering it to them, hey maybe I’m doing better than I thought even though I have no cash!?
These are the same people that will bite on a realtor saying, “act now! 5 other buyers! hurry!”.
ParticipantWowwww, I love this advice. I’m going to try these things out – the fact that many of you said similar things, in different ways only strengthened the ideas. Thank you guys very much.
I was telling her the whole time that her actions were speaking different than her words.. and she denied it and wanted to say I was insecure thats why I thought that way. Well now that we’re broken up, she’s showing me exactly how she operates – why would I try and deny it now?! I knew it all along, so theres nothing I can do to change her.. like you guys said, “Beat it! Kick rocks!”.
I talked to her once more around the time I posted the original message and she said the ”I’m going to go to Vegas and have fun.”. With the guy she chatted with during our relationship, who I resisted but she kept saying ”youre so insecure”. I told her I’m far from insecure, I just want a healthy relationship or I want to be in no relationship. Well after she told me this Vegas story again (presumably the guy is flying her out there, because he has rich parents that he bragged to her about once) – I told her that I don’t ever want to talk to her again, and that she should not contact me for any reason. Zero tolerance! Thanks for the wise words again.
ParticipantWow, thanks for rattling another assumptions that was ingrained into my grey matter. It sure feels good to have all these various perspectives available to us on the internet.
ParticipantI heard someone say, you’ll know it hit bottom when people aren’t talking about how great of an investment real estate is.. simple, and I think there will be other signs – but paying attention to the sheeple sentiment is probably a decent indicator.
