One thing that continues to amaze me is that the middle class (if they ‘work hard and try’) still believe they will become rich and part of the upper class (big house, nice cars, kids go to good schools).
The truth is that this generation will likely not live better than the previous. If / when people realize the American Dream is just that – a dream – then the political divide will become meaningless. The legislation and bailouts and spending are all combining to keep rich rich and the poor well poor.
