Epitaph on a Tyrant
“Perfection, of a kind, was what he was after,
And the poetry he invented was easy to understand;
He knew human folly like the back of his hand,
And was greatly interested in armies and fleets;
When he laughed, respectable senators burst with laughter,
And when he cried the little children died in the streets.”– W. H. Auden

Participant“To its committed members (the Democratic Party) was still the party of heart, humanity, and justice, but to those removed a few paces it looked like Captain Hook’s crew– ambulance-chasing lawyers, rapacious public policy grants persons, civil rights gamesmen, ditzy-brained movie stars, fat-assed civil servant desk squatters, recovering alcoholics, recovering wife-beaters, recovering child-buggers, and so forth and so on, a grotesque line-up of ill-mannered, self-pitying, caterwauling freeloaders banging their tin cups on the pavement demanding handouts.”[Nicholas von Hoffman, columnist, The Washington Post, 11/12/94
And so the cycle repeats itself…

ParticipantI think it is only a matter of time before someone sells one well under the prevailing prices and resets the comps. That happened when I sold a town home a long time ago where there had not been any on the market for over a year. When mine sold for a good price, within a month there must have been about six on the market at a higher price. That was in the late 80’s when the market was starting back up. Everything is timing and with a new administration, I expect interest rates to stay low for at least the time being.
