A recent lengthy report by Reuters confirms what many conservatives have long known: President Obama’s promise to create millions of so-called “green jobs” has been a colossal and expensive failure.
Since 2009, the wind industry has lost 10,000 jobs, even as the energy capacity of wind farms has almost doubled. By contrast, the oil and gas industry have created 75,000 jobs since Mr. Obama took office.
The wind farms kill birds and bats:

“On Monday, Solar Trust of America became the latest solar developer to file for bankruptcy in Delaware federal court, putting into jeopardy photovoltaic power plant projects utilities were counting on to generate 2,000 megawatts of electricity – enough t0 light hundreds of thousands of homes at peak output. Among the projects was what would have been the world’s largest solar station, the Blythe Solar Power Project, a 1,000-megawatt power plant to be built in the Mojave Desert that had received a $2.1 billion federal loan guarantee offer.”March 1, 2012 at 3:51 PM in reply to: What would you do for the privilege of being American ? #739052VeritasParticipantThat was my answer prick: go Φ Ü Ċ Ķ yourself.

So are Al Gore and John Kerry.
That makes it all the more admirable for them to support progressive causes.
I don’t begrudge rich conservatives for being greedy. Makes financial sense.
But then you have the working class conservatives who vote right-wing but can’t seem to prevent their daughters from getting knocked up at 16….
Good point Brian.

They get two votes.

That includes Pelosi’s whopping net worth of $196,299,990; Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s $93,707,020; and Congresswoman Jackie Speier, who is the 31st-richest rep, with a net worth of $20,527,999.”

You have to pay income taxes on your wordwide income, so it’s not so easy to give up American citizenship. There is a process to renounce it.
As far as income taxes, I think that it’s only fair to pay proportional to the share of wealth you get from society.
That’s an interesting way to look at it Brian, since many people do not pay for the share of the wealth they get from society at both ends of the political spectrum including free medical, etc.
“In response to Occupy Wall Street’s protest slogan of “We are the 99 percent,” conservatives have started an online counterprotest called “We are the 53 percent” — a reference to the 53 percent of Americans who pay federal income tax, on top of the payroll, local, sales and other taxes that other Americans pay.”

That does not seem fair to me.
VeritasParticipantIt is a shame that we cannot get this one here in the U.S.: Ford’s 2009 Fiesta ECOnetic goes on sale in November. But here’s the catch: Despite the car’s potential to transform Ford’s image and help it compete with Toyota Motor (TM) and Honda Motor (HMC) in its home market, the company will sell the little fuel sipper only in Europe. “We know it’s an awesome vehicle,” says Ford America President Mark Fields. “But there are business reasons why we can’t sell it in the U.S.” The main one: The Fiesta ECOnetic runs on diesel. It gets 65 MPG!!!

VeritasParticipantGood to know, although I cannot afford one anyway. Some of the early big screen tv’s became bricks, but I think that was related to the technology, not the user.
