Actually in most of the retail education classes I had, there were few or none of students who were financing their education.Where were you seeing this, Ray?

In affirmative action, the boss promotes based on quotas. The bosses are the public and nobody is forcing them to do anything. Are you asserting that the public has no free will?
No wonder people don’t want to entrust the country to him.
Well, polls would disagree with you on this. Last I checked he was running even with McCain.
Would you want an affirmative action doctor to operate on you?
Surgeon operate (thats why doctors call them “cutters”–among other things). Doctors examine. You don’t help your case with dumb mistakes. And the experience and qualifications of a health provider (or cutter) are what matters most. I don’t generally take their minority status into account.
Would you even want an affirmative action mechanic to work on your car?
See previous.
No, I want a truly qualified person.
Last I checked the qualifications for presidency are A: Getting Elected and B: meeting the requirements of article 2

Are you a professor or lecturer (I mean outside of the blogosphere) in Constitutional Law? Have you been elected to the state legislature? Have you been elected to the Senate?

ParticipantOkay folks:
we may actually have a winner for most vacuous on-topic thread this week.Since the whole premise is that people with reason are totally ignored (implying that people who did not buy are by definition “with reason” and that nobody ever thinks about them–uhh okay), we need to broaden our list of stupid complaints.
In that vein, I am complaining that most of the expensive clubs in gaslamp are overpriced and that they do not pour drinks strong enough.
Cnn should have added a section about Dan’s need for good drinking spots after showing highrise meltdowns for 12 hours.
Damn them.
Also, I demand that anybody adding to this thread reference Akira Kurosawa, Powers Whiskey, Sam Peckinpah, Philip K Dick, or Steve Albini.
The gauntlet has been thrown down.
