For Del Cerro, I’d suggest Kassy Kaiser, who has been “farming” my parents in Del Cerro forever. She knows the territory. La Mesa, Stan Sexton, although I believe he’s been maligned on OCrenter’s blog. We live in La Mesa (third home) and used Stan as our buying agent in either 86 or 87 for our first home. No problems. We did the last two sales on our own. Google for contact info.

TuVuParticipantMy idiot 20-year-old kid absentee voted both yes on the La Mesa sales tax and yes on the Grossmont Union High School District bond, the latter being mostly for building a high school in Alpine. People who live in the fire zone city of Alpine knew when they bought there that their kids would have to be bussed to El Cajon. I’m really pissed off that both of these measures passed. And I’m thinking that the voting age should be moved up to 25 because college kids have no idea what it’s like to live in the real world.

TuVuParticipantMy best friend lived in Oceanside in a lovely gated community on a hilltop with great views and easy access to the big box stores, Trader Joe’s, etc. It was just a pain in the ass for me and my husband, who live in metro San Diego, to drive up there to have dinner on Friday nights. My best friend and her husband are gourmet cooks. Of course, we would have the same complaint if they moved to Carlsbad. When they moved, they moved to Solana Beach, which is a little bit easier.
I think this board is heavily slanted toward the North County Coast, but I’m just giving you my two cents from a close-to (but not quite) San Diegan.
