ParticipantThanks for the suggestions everyone. Seems like the going rate for reputable moving companies is about $80-90/hr. Does that sound about right? I saw a few on Craigslist for $40/hr but they sound pretty sketchy and who knows if they’re licensed or not.
From a purely financial perspective I think buying a used washer/dryer pair for around $500 would be the best bet, however I’d have to find someone to deliver them and help me move them upstairs so that’s a big factor as well. If I buy a new pair do they usually do free delivery/installation?

ParticipantThere’s plenty of condos in the UTC area that fit your criteria. Renting out a room there is not a problem due to its proximity to UCSD as long as you don’t mind living with students.
