ParticipantThank you Nostradamus for bringing this up and being so sensitive to the severe crisis on the other side of the globe. It’s times like these that we realize that the issues with finance, stock market, and housing are so trivial when others are losing their lives in such a terrible catastrophy. My deepest thoughts and prayers go out to those who are living this nightmare and their loved ones. I too am glad to hear that our fellow bloggers families are safe!

ParticipantI agree with Enorah about perhaps the universe is preventing you from making a long term mistake; the universe gives us many signals, it’s our human flaw that doesn’t allow us to listen and take note…however, if you are still determined to go forward, I would highly recommend you speak with HLS – he is a wonderful resource and great body of knowledge, and just a super cool guy to talk to and work with. Your loan officer will make a lot of money on your deal, she shouldn’t be treating you in that way, it’s so 2005! If you feel uncomfortable using someone on this blog (HLS), I can also suggest a loan officer who can be trusted. I have worked with him since 1999 and have been very pleased with his work and feel that he is professional and honest.
I wish you the best of luck as you go forward.

ParticipantI think filing for bankruptcy qualifies him as being “insolvent”, which then allows him to avoid paying taxes on all the “debt forgiveness”.
Well hopefully he has certainly learned a major life lesson.May 12, 2008 at 2:22 PM in reply to: Nine houses lost, investor reflects on ‘stumbles’: California man speculated with ‘neg-am’ loans, now says it was mistake #202815seattle-relo
