ParticipantWow, I go out for a little girls wine night and come back to this mess! Geesh!
Partypup: thank you for opening up the discussion regarding Obama. Sadly I believe your observations are right on. Right on about both Obama and our nation’s future. I would love to believe that Obama is just playing the game to get elected to then evoke well needed change, but I just don’t think that’s the case…it’s very disappointing.
Marion: you get a lot of grief on this site, I think if you left the personal attacks out of your rebutals you’d have a lot more credibility.
I really liked Obama in the beginning. He’s an amazing speaker, an amazing motivator and evokes a feeling of hope for many that listens to him. I want him to be what people hope he is, but lately something is different about him and I fear that he is not what we hope. He reminds me of a professor I had in graduate school. This professor was hypnotic when he spoke to the class. I can’t explain it…all of the students just listened to him in almost a trance like state, but when it came to the end of the semester we realized we were listening to him, but not hearing him and realized we really didn’t learn a thing. Don’t just listen but hear what Obama is really saying by watching his actions, it’s incongruent with what he’s saying. By saying this I am not a McCain supporter, but I see the potential for very dark times ahead and we need a leader that can evoke real change rather than someone who attends to the will of the puppetier behind the curtain.July 17, 2008 at 11:06 PM in reply to: McBama: The Long-Awaited Unveiling of The Official Establishment Tool #241732seattle-relo
