ParticipantYou guys really should try Bailey’s and Absolute Raspberri – if you are a Bailey’s fan, that is.
Holy crap it’s good.

Completely agree with sduuuude about Rum & Coke being a match made in heaven. I’d drink it more often if it didn’t make me do things no sane man should do.
[/quote]The thing about R&C is – the caffeine. You have the energy to do all the stupid things you are drunk enough to do.

ParticipantYou aren’t disagreeing – a mid-grade 100% agave tequila is a good option. Just no need to go top-shelf, that’s all I’m saying.
The Cuervo I referred to was the mix. It suffices. Sure lime juice is awesome, but this is a daily drinker, which avoids the hassle of squeezing limes, making syrup, and spending lots of money.
You can make a huge pitcher of it in a few minutes and pull it out every day for a week or two, using cracked ice from the fridge. Simple, cheap, and very drinkable.
One of my favorite mid-grade tequilas is Hornitos, but I don’t mind the “swill” for a true daily drinker.
Heradurra Resposado is my fave for shooting.
I find people who go for big red wines prefer the tartness of Contreau. I definitely like the foo-foo sweetness of the triple sec. It hides the harshness of swill better than anything.

ParticipantI forgot my favorite after-dinner drink. Used to be port, but now I like Bailey’s on the rocks with just a splash of Absolute Raspberry. Not Chambord – too sweet and cough-syrupy. A raspberry vodka. Not too much. Just a splash.
