Rich ToscanoKeymasterTo the poster formerly known as RatherOpinionated, RemingtonRd, and YokohamaCt; and now going by the handle poway_seller —
Everything on the PCA site has been approved pre-publishing by my b/d’s general counsel. He has also approved my linking from this site to the PCA site. (Additionally everything I write on this site is reviewed by my OSJ and sent for the record to general counsel).
Now, I can’t help but think that if you were really concerned about my welfare, you wouldn’t attempt to call me out for a perceived (and wrong) violation of FINRA regulations on a public message board. So it seems pretty clear that you are trying to make trouble once again. So let’s just cut that out right now, ok?

Rich ToscanoKeymasterAlright, thanks for the input. I will look into it… I have some ideas on things to try. Might have to pony up for more server capacity, but I know from experience that that won’t fix anything unless I address the bottleneck directly (I suspect it’s the mysql process but we will see).
BTW thanks to the OP for offering to contribute… how about this: point your friends, relatives, and housepets to the PCA website (linked in ‘finance and investing’ at the upper right), and we can call it even. π

Rich ToscanoKeymasterIs it slow all the time for you? For me, it seems to be very slow once in a while, but fine most of the time. I’m not sure what’s going on because traffic isn’t all that high at the times when it slows down… not sure what’s causing it.
Anyway, I will look into it.

Rich ToscanoKeymasterThanks Bugs, good point… I generally tried to avoid nominal decline forecasts because I thought (and still think) inflation was such a wildcard. When pressed, my policy was to make a lot of disclaimers about inflation and then guess for a decline of about 1/3, or 30-40%, depending on my mood. (Not sure where that 25% figure came from).
The forecast I was always more confident giving was that prices would fall at least 50% in terms of incomes.
Thanks,
Rich
