Rich, if you do want feedback, I will say that I don’t visit here much lately, and I don’t recommend the site to friends anymore. The doom-and-gloom extremist clique has pretty-much taken over. It’s pretty obvious who the offenders are. No tattling should be necessary.
Thanks for the feedback, but I don’t see how it’s actionable. I try to keep my own commentary (infrequent as it may be) even-handed, but I can’t control the attitudes and beliefs of those posting in the forums. Do you have specific recommendations?

I didn’t ignore them and I gave them some of the culture war that they’ve been dishing out. That’s what got me in trouble.
Brian.
This constant mischaracterization of you as a victim is growing very tiresome.
The issue is, and always has been, about STARTING political flamewars, and being THE ONE to try to turn a non-political thread into a political one (or non-flame political thread into flamewar).
Thank you for reigning it in, but the fact is that before you did so, you were the king of starting it. No, you weren’t the first political pot-stirrer, but there is no question that you took it to the next level.
Your repeated insinuations that you were singled out and victimized because of which “side” you are on are insulting, dishonest, and uncomfortably reminiscent of the pointless tribalism I’m trying to do away with on this site.

Rich ToscanoKeymaster“the UK falls into a severe double-dip recession, this will finally prove once and for all that Keynesian economics works,”
I don’t see how this would suffice as “proof” that Keynesian economics works.
Everyone (or most everyone) agrees that Keynesian policies can boost things in the short term. The question is whether this is a sustainable approach that works in the long run. The proof or lack thereof of that will be in whether governments can reduce their huge Keynesian-induced debt loads without causing a crisis.
Rich
PS – Since we’re on the topic these days, this is an example of a “good” political thread. There is obviously debate but the debate is civil and it’s about the content of an issue, not flaming and picking sides.

Rich ToscanoKeymaster

Thanks for tattling Brian.
There were people tattling on Brian for a half-political comment that he didn’t even start. Some people don’t like hime and must be monitoring all his posts. If that’s how it’s going to be, then so be it.
Everyone is “tattling” on everyone else and that’s good as far as I’m concerned. It enables me to take actions to keep the forums on point without me having to read every post.
