Just the excuse I need to buy those prime steaks at Costco rather than the choice.
They are worth it, though – at least for the sirloin.
I got some merely choice T-bones there last month that were downright yummy, but I had my heart broken when informed that it was a special purchase, and I shouldn’t expect to see them too often. Had to settle for the fillets…

RhettParticipant
unfortunately, the picture isn’t pretty. I knew obesity is an epidemic. but the degree of which that is truly out there out in the general public at large is unreal. I know for most piggs it is quite unpleasant. but every year you should make it a point to go out there just to see what the rest of San Diego look like.
This can be accomplished much more easily by targeted shopping trips, to stores and parts of town one usually avoids. I have to admit that doing this sort of thing gives me a false sense of confidence about my physical shape, though. I’m skirting the “overweight/obese” line by the way they define it, but going to Walmart makes me feel skinny.
I never understand all the California quips about fat Midwesterners – you can see plenty of that around here, too, even at the beach.

RhettParticipant
I just checked the humidity right now (6PM) in Del Mar and it was at 84% – wow. I guess I’m not used to the coastal humidity.
Relative humidity is not really a good comparative measure – you are better off comparing dew points. Right now, just about everywhere has a dew point around 60 or 61 F – meaning equally humid. The relative humidity is lower inland because it is hotter. This is somewhat atypical this time of year – usually the dew point will be about 5 degrees lower inland. At any rate, this is slightly more humid than usual, though for people from the Midwest or Southeast, the thought of this weather being “humid” is laughable. π
My impression based on a limited number of visits is that it always seems more sticky and humid at the fairgrounds / racetrack – must be some sort of dead zone for the breeze in that area. Throw in a huge crowd, and it’s probably a given.

Well, beer . . . to crickets . . . have a swell time, Rhett!
I probably will, because seeing a band the 15th time (give or take) is as good as the first. 58 year olds rock!!!
No beer, though – two of them would get me close to the cost of concert tickets, I suspect.
I wonder if there soon will be a Cricket Wireless Highway 125.
