ParticipantConsidering how Wamu and Lehman shares have dropped recently, I’m leaning towards the Fed making an example out of those institutions.
Lehman has access to the discount window where their can park their junk for some time. Bear Stearns didn’t have that option.
I believe that Bear Stearns was bailed-out with the hope of stemming the crisis. But now that Fannie and Freddie have been taken over, it’s time to let the invisible hand of market work its magic.

ParticipantThis is a flawed survey. They compare La Jolla, a neighborhood of San Diego to the cities of Boston and San Francisco? WTF!? It’s at lot more expensive to live in the Upper East Side of Manhattan!!

ParticipantIn my book, parents are accountable for the actions of their minor children.
Where is the shame? Where are the “traditional” family values? Shouldn’t Bristol be sent off to a convent some place so she can reflect on her sins and repent?
Like I said before, if vices and lax moral behavior occur no matter what because humans will be humans; then what’s the point of voting for social conservatives.
We might as well vote social liberal, air out all our dirty laundry and enjoy our weaknesses. Isn’t that what the Palin family is doing?
Why hide behind a Victorian facade of propriety and pretend upstanding family values?
