Participantthat would have been a much more interesting angle:
“with $200k equity loss in their home, Jodi Ross and family decided it would be best to stay near by with a staycation this year.”

“The reality of airfare for five people, hotel costs, meals out or even having to drive somewhere far was too much,” said Jodi Ross, a real estate agent and mother of three. “It just seemed a lot more reasonable to do the beach right here in Carlsbad.”
interestingly, REALTOR® Jodi bought her San Marcos home for $660,000 at the peak in September of ’05. Current value? roughly $460,000.

ParticipantI’m all for living in ethnically diverse communities, and I knew there were Asians in 4S Ranch but come on. 4S Ranch seems to be on track to become a new China town.
4S is very diverse. I wouldn’t say it is only Chinese, it is pretty equally split between Chinese, Korean, Indian, and Filipino.
