Participantwow, the house is right on the corner of the street, right adj to deer ridge. noise will be an issue for sure.
interior is nicely done but asking price is too high.
what is up with the range pricing, that is so 2005.
I agree the new side of 4S is inferior to the old side. they took more time and effort when planning and building the old side. the new side was just a huge rush to squeeze in homes before the bubble burst.
but with this house being so close to Del Norte, it really should just be the same price as a typical over 3000 sqft home north of Camino Del Norte.
are there renters there right now?

Participant
Good points Eugene. We had thought we needed space so we bought an acre…ended up costing us $250+ a month for a gardner. I can’t remember what the water bill was, but it was high.
We sold and now have a smaller, more managable lot. If you pick just the right one, you can have as much privacy as an acre. We actually have *more* privacy now.
interesting you said that. JtR actually mentioned very large lots as a deficiency and not a plus a few months back on a post regarding Magnolia Estate over at Bressi.
as to my earlier comment about overhearing the AC being on at 7AM. just something from someone else’s convo. location and direction of a house is important, what kind of a house is important too. VC is a big place as well.

Participantoverheard a VC resident recently on a typical summer day (no heat wave):
“7 AM and we got the AC on…”

we been to calabria a few times over the last couple of years. loved the models, the floorplans are very nice.
but bottom line, most of the calabria homes, including the models, are within 500 feet of high voltage lines. i know the jury is still out on this issue health wise. but from a resale point of view you’ll simply have a very difficult time selling a million dollar home that sits so close to high voltage lines.
