Participant
McCain, while not my pref for president in this go-round, is a very decent person and would never knowingly allow something like that to be a part of his campaign.
True but when that old, people usually don’t have 100% of mental faculties and can easily be manipulated. I’ve seen some of the smartest people in my life get old and become victims to the simplest cons. I don’t think Reagan was “all there” towards the end of his presidency and I certainly don’t think McCain is. He has led a good life and deserves much respect for sure, yet I wouldn’t exactly follow him into battle or trust that he can handle the stress and accelerated aging of presidency. If elected McCain will be the oldest president in US history. My that was tangent!

ParticipantI can’t really read the numbers on your chart but I can see the lines and the divergence then re-convergence of the three tiers. A lot of discussion has gone into this and there are many reasons for buying a home other than size. Here on piggs people go on an on about the school district, proximity to jobs, community, crime stats, and so on. Carmel Valley is a prime example: people pay a premium to live there because they see it as having superior schools and community (even though IMO they pay too much for HOA’s and mello-roos). I’m sure in the bubble a lot of people moved up from low-end housing into mid or upper tier housing, using the money from the sale of their bubbly low-end house.
So to summarize my answer is: location location location.

ParticipantGoli mad that was a sweet video.
Since we’re off-topic already here’s one of my favorite scenes from “Shaolin Soccer”, where they also imitate MJ’s “Thriller”:
