Participantsafigueroa12 the tax advantages of owning are nowhere near justifying the cost of purchasing a home vs. renting it. That is an almost negligible concern unless you were planning on declaring the home a business asset on which you can claim depreciation (which you can feel sure will be major).

ParticipantIt wasn’t Ralphs before but rather some weird grocery store (like IRA Foods or IKA Foods or something like that).

ParticipantYeah that Indian place is decent for the price, and one of the few places where spicy actually means spicy. I LOVE the Marketplace Grille’s “Crispy Chicken Bowl with Herb Rice” you should try it. It comes with salad (the good Persian-style salad w/chopped tomato, cukes, dill, and lemon), rice, chicken, and hummus, all in a delicious crispy bowl. It’s pricey for to-go food at $9.70 but is quite a meal. I just had it today!

ParticipantThe Galil is interesting to me because I’m a lefty but like many I got used to doing many things right-handed. I tried an AK once and was impressed, it fully penetrated a 2′ oak tree stump like butter. Definitely something I’d want around in a post-apocalyptic zombie battle but for now I got rid of it.
