ParticipantI’m in but not until after May 2, gotta meet a deadline and I’m swamped. Of course don’t let me stop you from meeting sooner, I’ll just catch the next one.
It would be nice if Rich could join, I’d like to buy him lunch and drinks for all he’s done. He’s Mr. fancy-pants celebrity columnist/kpbs guest speaker now so maybe he won’t have time, who knows?
I would like to propose Leucadia Pizza in Rancho Santa Fe. IMO it has the best darn pizza in SD. However, if you want to go somewhere else I’m game. Been to Oggi’s a few times.

ParticipantThis is rampant, uninformed speculation but it will be interested in seeing how China, as a developing nation, handles their energy needs. Will they come up with alternatives to oil? Will they broaden their public transportation system or build a culture of automobile dependency? Last time I was in Beijing they seemed to be doing the latter. IMO they are in a good position to learn from USA’s mistakes and instead of building an oil-dependent nation they can build one on clean, atomic energy or some yet undiscovered, eco-friendly technologies.

ParticipantI’m up for a meetup as well. I had originally hoped to wait for the RE crash, buy a cool pad, then host a meet-up there… but with these sticky sellers it may take time.
Speaking of pizza, has anyone been to Leucadia Pizza in RSF? Awesome place. I dined there but am not sure about how it is for drinking/mingling.
I cannot meet up until after May 2nd. Working on a deadline.
