ParticipantMy niece is living in Beijing, she said she felt the earthquake and the baby inside her felt it too and started kicking!
I’m glad all of your families are safe! If you want to donate to help earthquake victims one charity I’ve worked with is accef. They are non-profit, non-religious, tax deductible, and totally legit.

ParticipantLike h82rent I too must remain active and I hate being stationary. I was going to post it before but I hesitated: the reason I think I’m fine sleeping on any surface is because I run myself into the ground every day so when I hit the sack I’m out like a light. Sometimes directly on the wood floor or grass or sand or whatever. I do 8 hours of engineering work, 6 hours of film editing, and 2 hours of swimming or weights on weekdays, about 4 hours of surfing or volleyball every Sat/Sun at South Mission. If I don’t do something I get depressed and crazy.
While I don’t believe in loving yourself a la Narcissus, it is true that muscular stress may be caused by emotional stress or worry. Try smoking some weed! People believe it has both physical and emotional benefits. I’m sure you can get a prescription based on what you’ve gone through so far.

ParticipantPast life injury? How do I fix that?
You have to stick a sword in the front side to balance it out. π
Usually in the kung-fu movies they put some kind of smelly, mud-like, pungent ointment on it. Have you tried that???
Check this out: dealing with past-life issues
If that doesn’t work give Latoya Jackson a call or perhaps the psychic magical spiritual network of leprechaun elves.

ParticipantCarli’s good cop/bad cop tactic is hilarious.
I think bedding is ridiculously priced. Especially considering I’m happy sleeping on a $200 roll-up memory foam mattress. If I want softer I fold it over itself and voila, double the softness. Then again, I’ve been called a cheapo hermit. I did try the $2k tempurpedic but it sooo wasn’t worth it (to me).
I’ll bet 90% of the overhead of mattress companies is spent on marketing, talking up the benefits of their junk.
