LOL. American cars had a lot going for them, in that the patriotic US population would always favor them. All they had to do was make a decent product. They didn’t. When it comes down to it, people need to get to/from work reliably. I owned a Ford then a Chevy, then I crossed to Japanese cars and will never go back. Just way too much hassle. Almost everyone in my family had the same experience since my Dad was a Chevy fan. We were all for American cars… until we drove Japanese cars and realized that the only thing going for American cars was patriotic bs hype.
