ParticipantHere are my two cents George. I would never live in certain places in N. County. That includes Cielo, Crosby or SantaLuz.
All of these places were built during the boom, when big houses…most of them without backyards…were being build farther and farther East. Hell, you might as well be in Ramona living in Cielo and for 2M+ to boot!As a native San Diegan, who loves SD for the beach, not the desert, I would choose something closer to the 5. Yes RSF is top notch, but you will be paying top notch dollars too. In addition, if you are in the covenant..then you are severly limited on how you can make changes to your property.
with that said, I believe the best bang for you buck is either in Olivenhain and the Loma Santa Fe CC area.

ParticipantHmmm. I’ve never been called a troll before. And for your information, I’m not a troll. Maybe a better response would be to comment on the number of “reputable” lenders out there still pedaling these exotic mortgages.
When I was in the business, I never saw them so they are new to me. And I agree on the trust issue. I tell people make sure you trust your lender and your broker….so there.

July 3, 2007 at 11:02 AM in reply to: Michael Moore’s New Movie about Government-Run Public Schools? #63613NorthCountyMan
ParticipantThe reason why Moore won’t touch the schools is that he and the rest of the lefties are beholden to the teacher’s unions. They have a lock on policy in most states and give generously (with or without the teacher’s permission) to the democrats.
Doing a sicko type of piece on public schools is like shooting your own foot for Moore. He is more likely to go after private schools and how they promote religion, patriotism, etc.
On a side note, I grew up going to private through 8th grade then to public. I thought my public school education was ok, but there is no way my kids are going to one. The public schools in San Diego had deteriorated too much.
