I think these school district issues will become less and less important as the web continues to take over more and more of these roles. But I think the neighborhood will still matter

ParticipantI think the Social skills and other such things can be better learned in some organized team sports or play time environment.
Not that sitting at a desk looking at the girl two rows over when you should be paying attention to the teacher does not have value.

ParticipantOne other point is it seems from my experience the worst possible environments for kids to grow up in is beach cities,
Most of the people I knew who grew up at the beach ended up being beach bums (or just bums or worse).
But I am talking from a limited pool of people that I know of (surfers I know/knew).
