ParticipantWell, over the years I’ve heard many arguments for screen names in favor of being completely unrelated to the person behind the name.
In such, I’d recommend Hemorrhoid Removal Cream, like other posters, you can then abbreviate your posts, HRC.

ParticipantI think they’ve lumped uninsured and underinsured together.
So you’re paying more because the majority carry the minimum.

ParticipantWhenever I go into Ikea, I marvel at how functional and spacious the sub-600sf urban space or the sub-800 sf two bedroom space sample homes they’ve done are compared to any of the 1000-1200 1 bedroom apartments I rent in the 90s.
They’re far more spacious and useable than many of the 3/2, 4/2 1200-1600 ranch SFRs built for the suburban boomers in the 50-70s littering southern California, IMO.

ParticipantBG, I’m not sure what newcomers you’re referring too. The population increase is coming whether you like it or not.
Or have your kids decided not to create any grandkids?

ParticipantI’m bipolar on travel.
I love being new places.
Hate the experience of getting there.
With a elementary age child, the airports are akin to a root canal. SNA airport still literally is bribing passengers off almost any flight. LAX is LAX.
The Train is a pipe dream making air travel look cheap, not to mention timely. Not really interested in going to the grand canyon and having to disembark at 4AM.
Which leaves the car… and California seems to be the land of perpetual traffic jam anywhere were the population exceeds 12.
Next up a ship.

ParticipantA lot of people don’t know how to be happy. They don’t how to retire either. IMO, that’s why you see so many rote answer regarding retirement, “I’d like to travel” from people that largely haven’t traveled before or if they describe it what they really describe is the ability to float from one Four Seasons resort to another without having to worry about paying for it.
Basically, they’re looking for fulfillment outside of themselves in purchases. I think the thought of sitting around for a weekend with their own family without a slew of distractions pending terrifies a large portion of our ‘successful’ populace.

ParticipantI know I’m a whole lot happier since getting off the hamster wheel.
UCGal, what about you?

ParticipantUm, actually, there’s a good debate if it didn’t already happen ten years ago in Santa Monica.

ParticipantThe walk away advice from La Jolla and flu is the best advice.
That’s why you sleep on things.
Dealing with the wanna-be Trumps of the world that bully small dollars out of people under implied threat of lawsuit are a pain in the ass. They’re banking on the $400 not being worth the time to get and they’re banking on the possible you’ll get counter sued and cost you $10K.

Participantdon’t make it personal flu, it’s just business. If you’re trying to be a nice guy to the car, you know what that’s going to get you. 😉
Would those box end wrenches fit? I think they’re popular in the fatherland.

Participantflu, I did not say post a yelp review. I said, maybe he’d like to let the new tenant know his experience,
Perhaps you’d like to offer your humble opinion to the new renter so they know what kind of service to expect from the business when they look to leave.
kind of a personal renter to renter yelp review…
aka. verbal person to person.
Absolutely 100% do not stick anything online. Because frankly, I think you’re right, the guy would be a pain in the backside.
It’s a classic, how much of your time is worth $400. Well, $1200, since 3X is the part he can get back if the judge finds in his favor.
