Thanks!
mydogsarelazyParticipantWe were at Barrington yesterday, a Lennar development in Temecula, and they said that starting today (6/6/07) they are initiating a home trade-in program.

mydogsarelazyParticipantWe live in Murrieta, and from my point of view, Harveston is very well situated, and well maintained. We have young children and often take them to the park there. The Winchester Rd. offramp — the main way in and out of Harveston — is a real problem but in maybe 2 years another ramp is planned.
There are lot of businesses now along Hwy 79, so that area is worth checking out. We used to live in Bridlevale (behind Wolf Creek) and liked our neighbors and neigborhood.

I think you made a fine buy. Harveston is a very nice place.
I have one worry though, long term. If water supplies to this region are cut back, I wonder what that could do. I know that the water at Harveston is all recycled, but just today the Press Enterprise had a cover story about water cutbacks.
At any rate: good job negotiating!

mydogsarelazyParticipantWe own a 2 story KB Home in Murrieta, which we purchased in 2003 for $360k.
We spent about $20k on options — the carpet upgrades were essential — and are very happy with the home. KB has given great warranty service on the few small items that needed it.
It also took at least $20k more for a patio, a back lawn, a patio cover and window coverings.
So, if I were buying a KB home now I would budget $40 to 50k to allow for options and work on the yard.

mydogsarelazyParticipantI was driving up Clinton Keith Road yesterday past a KB Home development in Wildomar and the sign-twirlers were spinning signs that said “Amazing Prices.” I guess they mean it.

The flyer also suggests that any “reasonable” offer will be accepted.
Have to tell you, for someone that likes Harveston, that seems like a house to make an offer on.
