ParticipantMaybe someone playing with a dye tunable laser at UCSD or Sorrento Valley? You would not be able to see it unless it was bouncing off clouds,were there clouds that night? Just a thought off the top of my head.

ParticipantI predict with 20% down a mortgage will soon be cheaper than rent. I know, I know then the landlords will just lower the rent. Nothing like asking the landlord to lower the rent. Try it, if s/he refuses then move. If they do lower the rent then stay and you can save even more towards a house of your own.

ParticipantSince the thread starts with OT. People that live in nice areas with large bank accounts can buy “investor properties” now with the risk that it is not bottom, or they can wait for the neighbors house to go into foreclosure and then buy it, since they apparently like the neighborhood. What would you do?
