true true $15k does not go as far as it used to.Funny thing is 7 times more coverage does not cost 7 times as much, maybe twice if that.
moneymakerParticipantI’ve noticed some of my neighbors have WPS enabled on their wifi and some don’t, is there a security risk to having it enabled?
moneymakerParticipantI’m going to go out on a limb and say the next President of the United States will be elected by a minority of Americans.
moneymakerParticipantUnless you are hardwired into the NAS it could be slow at backing things up, other than that not a bad way to go.

Just leave your car outside without washing it for 2 months and that will give you an idea what they probably look like.
moneymakerParticipant
Shades and windows don’t need to communicate with anything outside the home.
Wouldn’t it be nice though to have all the windows crack open say 6-8 inches when it is cooler outside than inside, then close again when the temp differential started increasing again. Personally wifi jacuzzi would work for me. Had a rough day? Fire that puppy up before leaving work.
moneymakerParticipantWifi garage door controller? Would anyone use it from afar? Suppose for a McMansion or senile person it might make sense.
moneymakerParticipantWas watching Terminator the other day and when Skynet is mentioned just immediately thought about Google. Most people don’t have a clue of the power they have to spy. They know where everybody is, where they are going, more so than the government. As far as home automation I would like to have motorized shades and windows that will crack open according to temperature outside compared to inside.
moneymakerParticipantMy opinion is that most money will bypass the US and go to China i.e. countries that actually produce stuff. Then after all the money is done chasing yield and demand starts to wane the next crash will come and it will affect everyone everywhere.Outside of a nuclear event that is my doomsday prediction.
moneymakerParticipantThink traveling is really like a bug in that once you start doing it you broaden your perspective and begin to think a little differently. Though always good to return home I find myself thinking about going somewhere else again right after getting home. Not having traveled in a while now it is out of my system and am happy to stay home.
moneymakerParticipantClairemont? Bus the kids/or let wife drive them? I’ve heard Clairemont has gone down hill but I personally have no idea. Bay Ho? Maybe Rich can chime in on that one. Here’s a nice one http://www.sdlookup.com/Pictures-160031482 even has a diving board with the pool, that’s a rarity these days.
moneymakerParticipantAppraisal is done, took 20 minutes, I’m not to excited about what it comes in at because according to Zillow we are right around 50% so i figure got at least a 10% cushion.
Appraisal came in at twice loan amount, is there a break for being slightly under 50% as opposed to being slightly over? HLS?
July 10, 2016 at 8:38 PM in reply to: OT: Ok wise garage mechanics, how do you deal with this one? :) #799519moneymakerParticipantI love harbor freight!
moneymakerParticipantAdmittedly asking price does not insinuate a bubble and even though commercial property typically rents for less I have no idea if there is a premium to purchase. This example reminds me of a property I looked at in golden hill pre-bubble (2004 i think). At around 700 sq. ft. they were asking 550k and they got it, I could not believe there was someone willing to buy it at that price, with no yard and no garage.
