ParticipantI feel like the biggest problem with the whole thing is relying on a set of bought congressman to regulate the industry that pays them. I wish Dodd’s constituents would vote his ass out already along with Frank and Schumer.
Other than that, there is no perfect system, and I don’t think down payment requirements would make much difference.

ParticipantIt’s cool to run into a pilot on piggington. I’m going to begin training for my license in a couple weeks (don’t worry Jiggy, I’m doing it in Ramona π ) If you can stand having a ride along, I’m willing to help with fuel. I figure I learn a ton from just riding around with experienced pilots.
I was also surprised at the stats for Palomar, and agree that some changes should be made, but only after a new study to find the causes. As far as noise, sorry, but planes are noisy and the tend to fly low near airports.

ParticipantI understand the reasons behind hiring a strong agent at a fair price, but my question is this: Does it take more time or more effort to sell a 1.5 mil house or a 250k house? I can see why a flat fee can be very attractive and make sense to buyers/seller alike. Does the check get heavier when you add a few zeros? How much of a flat fee would a realtor need to consider it worth his time and put in as much effort as he would for a percentage?
