Participant
Greenspan sure has changed his mind.
When faced with overwhelming facts, how could you not?
Greenspan Calls for Repeal of All the Bush Tax Cuts
Now Mr. Greenspan is wading into the most fierce economic policy debate in Washington — what to do with the tax cuts adopted, in large part because of his implicit backing, under President George W. Bush — with a position not only contrary to Republican orthodoxy, but decidedly to the left of President Obama.
He also called for a reduction in spending:
“We are going to have to confront a major surge in medical entitlement spending. Irrespective of what you say should be done on the tax side, you still have to cut some benefits on the expenditure side.”
Nice spin though.

Participant
Of course, I change my mind.
I used to be a young Republican if you can believe that.
Then I discovered that there’s no need to be so personally focused and greedy all the time.
Dad was always a Democrat and we talked politics all the time when we were kids. At first I wanted to be different.
Mom was a good housewife and never talked politics.
Grand-parents were arch conservatives.
You just can’t stop can you? Just keep right on going with that completely naive mindset that Republicans are all greedy evil doers hell bent on ruining the earth, and that Democrats are here to save us from them. You are the epitome of what the OP is talking about. I don’t know how many times on this site you have been confronted with facts about an issue only to ignore them or just go on some other rant about the evil right wingers. My mental picture of you is that of a bratty child with his fingers in his ear screaming “la la la la la la la la la . . .” whenever you hear something you don’t like.

Perhaps you should should pay a little more attention when reading my posts.
Perhaps. Thanks for the tip. I read this one pretty closely and think I understand you are behaving like a horse’s arse, am I right?
Sure. I’m just curious as to where you got the idea that anybody was claiming people could not get married outside of a church.

ParticipantI know it’s old news to everybody here. I was just pleased that there was an actual article in the paper that wasn’t praising the rising house prices. I was also pleased that it attributed the rise in prices to the tax credit. Again, old news around here, but nice to see.
