Mandy LifeboatsParticipant
We’re in Henderson, too. My LL received the Notice of Default (public record says “breach and election to sell”) at the beginning of August.
Enter your address here (Parcel Number Inquiry):
http://redrock.co.clark.nv.us/assrrealprop/site.aspx
to get the parcel number. Then, go to the Recorder’s Office site:
http://www.accessclarkcounty.com/depts/Recorder/Pages/default.aspxClick on Search Records (the “I Accept” button on next page that appears.)
Click on Parcel # and enter the parcel number (make sure you don’t leave any blank spaces before the number.) The record will come up.
A guy came to the door at around the fifth week and handed us some papers notifying us about the NOD; we haven’t heard anything since. From the info on them, I found the site where the sale date will eventually be posted. Amtrust (which went belly up last week) was the lender.
BTW – legally, you are not allowed to stop paying until the foreclosure sale (when he is no longer the owner.) However, how you choose to play it is up to you π
PM me if you want more info.
