ParticipantDeadZone- What was the price range for that sale. SFR under $1.3MM are still pretty strong.
I agree monthly payment is much cheaper to rent a remodeled ocean view property than own, but some of the other non view properties are making sense to purchase over rent. Especially if you can find a good SS, trustee sale, or owner with equity ready to move on.

ParticipantIf LL is charging $1.99 sq/ft and you can’t find anyone a lot cheaper who is recommended, then I would go with LL in case you have any issues after install.
I did floating engineered wood floors from Home Depot once and had someone else install. Starting having issues a few months later and HD/Manufacture blamed it on istaller and installer blamed it on product. I got stuck with the huge bill to resolve.
Personally, I will only go with glue or nail down applications now.

ParticipantI’ve sold many homes the last few years and was able to do it for 5% or slightly less with a major firm.
I would love to just pay the Redfin flat fee, but don’t believe I would have sold as quickly or for as much as I did.
On the flip side, I would also like the rebate Redfin offers but 80% of my purchases were secured because of the relationship my agent had with the listing one.
