ParticipantHi All
Thanks for the advice. That’s exactly how I feel…it’s risky to put it either in stock or housing market…so my only risk-free bet is in bank…earning less than 1% yield.
Would you recommend buying bonds or gold or other forms of investment?
I’ve made money but also lost money in the stock market…and that’s why I figure the whole thing is a big scam. There’s a reason why Wall Street people are rich…cuz they’re robbing retail investors like me. I’m lucky enough to just get my money back I think.
Okay…I guess I’ll just be happy and keep the money in bank for now.

ParticipantYah…I’ve been watching the inventory number and it’s just been rising in the past 6 months.
Some sellers who bought between 2004~2008 need to know they will sell with a LOSS! I have no idea why someone who bought a home for 700K in 2005 is still trying to sell their place for 680K now. Buyers are not dumb…..and please price accordingly.
I think patience is the key from my part as it’ll be even harder to sell as we go into the winter months.
Do you think market will be even more sluggish in Nov/Dec?

I guess one reason we started looking is just because I was worried that market is not gonna go down too much more. A lot of people on the forum seem to think market will be down/flat in the next 0~5-years. Do you agree?Yah…I wanted 1800+ sqft cuz if we do have kids, my in-laws may move in and help for a bit. In that case, having both me and hubby, in-laws and baby, I think we def. need 3+ rooms. It’ll be nice to have large living area as well. That’s the reason why we want to buy. But then again, we can wait for another 2+ years.
It’s just so hard to time the bottom of things…when is the housing gonna hit bottom?
Seems like the current bottom is about March 2009 (same as stock market). But I don’t know if we will revisit the buttom. What you think?
