Participant
My point is not that you will be paying more, but that you are not paying what would have been the lowest interest rate possible for your risk category. The difference is what the originating bank pocketed before hot-potato-ing the loan to someone else.
And here I thought I was doing good at 4.25 x 30.

ParticipantI admire your principle. I ended up caving and went w/their lender, but they paid for all the closing costs and then some. I think it just makes it easier for them to finally get rid of the place.
Since closing, my loan has changed hands twice already.

ParticipantJust updating on my appliances. My freezer started getting some frost on the top shelf by the icemaker. I called KitchenAid and they set up an appointment for 800-Appliance Rescue. The guy came out and said he thinks it’s the gasket around the door, so he replaced it.
I was talking to him about what kind of calls he gets. He says they have a contract w/Whirlpool/KitchenAid so they do work mostly on those. BUT he said he has more problems w/SAMSUNG. Glad I did not end up getting the Samsung. He went into detail w/my DH about the problems he encountered and they didn’t sound simple.
Also, I got in the mail a card for inventory sale for another outlet. I never knew about this. Apparently it’s been around for a year. Passing the info along to fellow Piggs. Standards of Excellence has a clearing center right BEHIND Sears Outlet. You have to drive past the trucks/loading area to get to it or go on the other street by Kelly Paper (Cudahy St).
The address is 960 Sherman, Unit B. Most people end up at Sears and don’t realize that the Premium Appliance Outlet is in the back. In any case, if anyone wants high-end, nice appliances for less, this is the place. They had Viking quality items and also have sinks, bathtubs, toilets, faucets and such.
