ParticipantI am so against any assistance. Did we help anyone who was upside-down during that ’90’s r.e. fiasco? How about the ’80’s w/balloon payments. Why now? B/c of magnitude and quantity. Not right to punish all the taxpayers and burden us w/the stupidity of others. Every time I think about it, it infuriates me.

ParticipantI read Bernanke’s entire speech on the forum I posted regarding the warning of foreclosure despite aid.
My questions are more toward what will the government do to remedy the collapse of the housing market to the detriment of taxpayers, how much will it actually help and how soon a recovery.
Seems like they’re all making suggestions, proposals, urges, etc, but we’re still looking at defaults and foreclosures and people not hesitating walking, yet others defiant on reducing prices.

Participanthehehe
By their suggestions, I think they already had a few too many.
I don’t think the government has enough debt. Why don’t they just buy everyone’s house. Hey everyone. Move to America. The government will just buy you your very own house.
This is getting beyond ridiculous.
