ParticipantI saw something like that before. I watched them until my neck hurt. My wife thought I was crazy when I told her about it but she saw it the next night.
My guess is they are military out of Vanderberg. I say that because they appeared to me to be “practicing” maneuvers. The “plane” could have been a satellite or the Internation Space Station . I watch satellites a lot. They are bright, move very fast and then disappear while still about 20 degrees above the horizon.
