I just reviewed alot of the original tread. Aside from the joy of battling sarcastic wit with some of you, I have learned nothing new from most of the threads. Some of you are more interested in defending established ideas rather than questioning the status quo. Not worth my time frankly.
Allow me to translate: “Not worth my time frankly” means, “I have no rebuttal so I will come up with an excuse for not doing so. My excuse is: It’s ‘not worth my time.’ I’m a Very Important Person with Two Doctorates and 16 Years of Collage, for Christ’s sake!! I’m an “INVESTOR”!! And an Artist!!”
Not worth my time refers to bringing up the old thread if all we are going to do is throw insults at each other, not defining my degrees. I don’t place too much importance on degrees but they do show an ability to stick to something hard for delayed gratification, which I do admire, so, as much as it pains me to compliment you davelj, again congrats on the multiple diplomas. You, I am sure, are proud of them as you should be. Now, back to the insults.investorParticipant

I never claimed to be Mr. smarty pants.
Sure you did. That’s where the two doctorates and 16 years of collage came in. (I’m still hoping to see some of the collages, by the way.)

I was responding to dave from fallbrook’s earlier posting of his academic background, so I didn’t really bring it up, he did.
If you’re referring to me, davelj, I’ve been a poster on this website for approaching five years. In the many hundreds (hell, could be a thousand for all I know) of posts that I’ve made over this time, my academic background has been brought up MAYBE three times, including this one. And in EVERY case, it was a response to someone either asking about it specifically or begging the question (as in your case), so to speak. I have NEVER brought it up out of the blue because, frankly, I think it detracts from the conversation and, as I’ve noted, I think degrees are over-rated. Consequently, it is largely irrelevant. You, on the other hand, clearly believe the opposite, which is why you brought it up in the first place.
And, anyway, who the hell is Dave from Fallbrook?
Allen from fallbrook. My bad. You two guys sound the same sometime. So, one of the two of you brings up his degrees, I bring up mine and I am the smarty pants? Don’t make me go and find it, I don’t have the time right now.investorParticipant
