Frankly, this post suprised me not becaue it stereo-typed women, but because some posters are indicating it is their wife’s pursuasion that makes it difficult to stay out of this falling market…..
Guys, a power house women can both sooth a man and support his endeavors, read the WSJ, invests in stocks, earn 6 figures, research up and coming emerging markets and cook, while inspiring and supporting the dreams of her family. If you did not choose this type of women well guys psychology points out it is not the women but instead your own sence of self that causes you to choose a weaker partner..umm food for thought!!!housingfreefallParticipantFrankly, this post suprised me not becaue it stereo-typed women, but because some posters are indicating it is their wife’s pursuasion that makes it difficult to stay out of this falling market…..

Do you have any stats on percentage of sold that are actually short sales or distressed? Realtor friend indicated to me 60% of sold for the month of June, had some form of short sale, foreclosure, or REO attached can you confirm?

housingfreefallParticipantThanks for the information. Love your experience with the Maryland house pay back is as we know. The story on the 1036 Hayes house wink wink goes like this. Apparently, the owner fell in love with a highrise condominum in Park West and could not resist so he left this house vacant and went ahead and bought the condominium. Now he has a vacant house wiht 8K taxes plus 2k insurance sitting there empty.
Not to mention bought it for 829K a year ago $49750 (circa) in commissions. One year later list it at 839K and will probably have 10% in closing costs $89900. I am not a mathmatician but this guy is stupid grand total $139,650.00….I really need i mean need ot get a hold of the crack poeple are smokin….housingfreefallParticipantThanks for the information. Yesterday, in the complex we are leasing in Bankers Hill park view very nice! A bit of a riot broke out. All the owners in this complex are original, because the clever builder did NOT do preconstruction sales, but instead released the units for purchase after they were complete, hence forth 05 buy in was 800K. Unfortunately, a women in this complex recently lost her job and listed her place at 780K, well a few months have gone by and the unit is not moving, she has been lowering every her asking price every 3 weeks and has now lowered it to 649K.
Yesterday, a mop of people knocked at her door to vent..it was ugly!! I heard things like you are not selling you are dumping. Do you know what this will do us…..more drama to report later..To a point, I can judge and think stupid people, but the hysteria was at such a high volume and the thought of making it big lured people in. It is like deal or no deal and they are all hit with reality 150K vanished in a blink of an eye…or more since who knows what the final selling price will be. OUCH!!!
