Participant
The fury of a wife is like bad weather, or rough waves. The experienced sailor knows that if he waits it will pass.
Livin’ that storm every 2 weeks! Sage words Scardey. Being Captain is tough during those times. Which brings us to hobby’s, or a man cave, etc.

ParticipantBring a tape measure while shopping. There is ‘counter’ depth which the door is flush with the cabinets and the larger ( + 25 cuft) will stick out beyond the counter top. The larger ones will fit gallon milk containers in the door.
I find we only use the first 12″ of the shelves or so. Deeper than that no one likes to unload stuff to get to the back forty.
Personally, I like the wide shallow ( like sub-zero) as items don’t get buried in the back but remember these are custom build in.
Take a look at the french door units. I like the working layout better ( wider access )than side by sides.
Ice maker, a must, ahem, is quite handy though thru the door units give up interior space.
Another thing, as much as I think weekly menu planning will result is one shopping trip/week it never happens. Given we ‘just pick up a couple of things’ several times a week… smaller refrig is perfectly fine. YMMV

ParticipantNatural gas baby! LPG Patio heaters or BBQ are always running out of tank at the wrong times. Even with spare tanks it is a pain to constantly refill them.
Gas infrared is sweet as you can tuck them within patio covers.
As to the cost, well it’s your party… if mama gets cold then you are outside by yourself, a beer, and the dog. 😉
