ParticipantActually, I am surprise we don’t see even more motorcycles and scooters on the road these days.
Must be the safety issue, ..’cause they sure are fun!

ParticipantI think the thinking behind annual raises is to retain employees. Cheaper to pay this than to find/train/retain new hires.
That said, I am a firm believer in pay based on value returned to the employer, which is always a variable, thus a negotiable. Even with commissions, the structure is a moving target.
Now if you want to get into an argument with a public sector person, mention a performance base pay scale or a voucher system for educators. Smile.

ParticipantIt’s all about the damages and credibility. How much $$ are you harmed and can you prove it. Backed up with docs. Depending on the amount and the circumstances, your doctor may not show and its an automatic win for you and his insurance will cover.
I’ve won several times and the better you are prepared with time lines, phone records, receipts, witnesses, etc. the better. You don’t have much time to prove your case. Just the facts, ma’am
The court may ask you to work out a compromise 30 min before the real case begins. Be ready for that.
It is a little scary, but when you know you are right, the judge can see it. They see a lot of bs’ers and are pretty quick with good questions that will smoke them out fast. Dress appropriately, cover tats and loose the piercings..
Good luck.

ParticipantI am also not a fan of commissioned realtors. I’m surprised that there is not more public pressure to arrange flat rate or collect bids from competing realtors to sell a home. Especially during bubble times.
My only explanation is that people don’t buy homes that frequently and are intimated by the process and emotionally reacting which plays right into the current compensation system. And most people are lousy negotiators. We bounce merrily along.

ParticipantIn CA all fixtures are 1.5 gal/min flow. You can drill out the pipe mounting side of the shower head for a little more flow but the mixing valve is not designed to flow much water either. Unless you have the old school single valve for hot and cold. Another place to check in the pressure regulator. It is on the outside cold supply usually next to the main gate valve. You can measure the pressure at an outside faucet, then try turning the nut to increase pressure. Most houses reduce the pressure to the inside as high pressure puts extra strain on the little electric solenoids to your ice maker, dish washer, etc. As noted, a booster pump will definitely achieve your goal. Sounds like a fun shower;)

Participantpri: Closed Yucca Mountain. The biggest problem with spent nuclear fuel is storage. Remember the Japan tsunami?
Energy is the fuel for our economy. Nuclear is the cleanest, safest, most efficient electricity generation.
Obama does not have a viable energy policy. He could have left this storage facility open and expanded our nuclear energy generation. This would reduce our burning fossil fuels and its accompanying pollutants. Not to mention its effect on the power OPEC has over the US.

ParticipantIt would be helpful if the ignoree could see how many have added him to their personal list. Not necessary who, but a count. ie. may help them vote themselves off the island or change their tune…

ParticipantBet me.
Don’t sidestep my point. Why did RP puss out with a debate moderated by Trump? Moderated??? ~s~NO~~w balls.Hobie
ParticipantFlu hit it with the one man comment. This the exact reason that Ross Perot lost. Top dog running a company is a dictatorship and you don’t have that with congress. Gotta work with congress. I’m not convinced Ron Paul can do that; and many people agree. That alone trumps any of his positions on the issues.
Speaking of Trump…. what say Ron???
